We are so excited that the Olympics have arrived and we are so fortunate to be just around the corner from the Vancouver Olympic Village.  We wanted to post some more info about our operations during this time.

Delivery for Downtown during February:

Due to road closures and limited parking,  we are expecting some delays for delivery by courier.  Please plan your flower orders a couple of days earlier if possible.  Thanks for your patience in advance.

Delivery to the Vancouver Olympic Village:

Since we are a few blocks away from the Vancouver Olympic Athletes Villages, foot delivery from our shop or pick up at our shop can be easily arranged.  Since the athletes will have a busy schedule, it is best that you provide the following information to help get in touch with the recipient.   Name, address, representing country,  phone number,  second contact person information. 

Extended Business Hours for February: 

During the month of February, we will be extending our business hours to the following:

Mon – Fri: 9:30pm to 6:00pm

Sat: 10:00am to 5:00pm

Parking at Balconi:

We have paid parking in the back of our building entering from Yukon Street.  There are plenty of street parking around our area including parking at Best buy on 7^th and Canadian tire a couple of blocks away.   Please see map below to access our back parking lot.

We had an opportunity to decorate 50 reception tables with floral centerpieces for a RBC year end event at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.  Fairmont Hotel is a great venue for 2010 Vancouver Olympic related events and I am sure they will be very busy with hosting receptions for people from all over the world during Febuary 2010.

It was a such a pleasure to provide wedding flowers to an amazing couple held in Shangri-la hotel Downtown Vancouver.  The setting was perfect for smaller and intimate weddings.  Although it was a wedding in December, we were able to get Peonies flown from New Zealand just  for the beautiful bridal bouquet. It looked stunning and we love working with Peonies and they are gorgeous.   Also, we used lucky bamboo to incorporate them into the pillar arrangements and table centerpieces and it was so appropriate for couple’s cultural back ground.

We had a great opportunity to decorate a beautiful home in West Vancouver for the holiday season just last week.  Our client wanted us to provide decorations that they need for a  welcoming Christmas holiday.  We had such a pleasure to working with this warm and kind client.  We were glad to hear that they are very happy with the outcome of this project.

Beautiful mantle arrangement with various Christmas greens, hurricane vases and soy candle inside.

9ft tall long lasting Noble Fir Christmas tree with red and gold ornaments. The noble fir produced an amazing fragrance to the whole living room.

Simple and elegant chandelier decoration with hanging christmas ornaments.

Romantic Mistletoe waits for unsuspecting guests to get caught under it by the entrance door.

Paperwhite plant arrangement in over sized cylinder vase. Imagine the beautiful white flowers growing everyday and producing a wonderful scent over the holidays.

Entrance arrangement decorated with natural wooden ornaments to give it an organic look and soy based candles sitting on river rocks in a hurricane vase.

Illuminated garland decoration for the stair case to give a magical feeling.

A perfect October wedding… cannot ask for anything more.  The weather was gorgeous and we had a great time setting up at the Richmond Golf and Country Club.  We put together a very unique tear shaped bridal bouquet which consisted lavender roses, dark purple callas, orchids and peacock feathers.  We love this combination as it adds a nice twist to the bouquet.
